“In 1969, Don Martin was running a thriving multi-truck HVAC service business in Calgary, Alberta. As demand grew, his large commercial clients began asking who could clean their ductwork and vents. Sensing an opportunity, Don brought one of the first duct cleaning trucks to Western Canada that same year. It marked the beginning of his lifelong passion for indoor air quality. Fast forward to 2001. Don and his son Lane launched Modern Furnace and Air Duct Cleaning in sunny Kelowna, British Columbia. Lane had grown up in the business, learning alongside his father. They built a strong local reputation with the slogan “Is your furnace talking dirty?” and expanded the company into a successful multi-truck operation.”
